About The Role

The Finance Data Analyst Student position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in analytics, data solutions, and process improvement within a large and diversified organization. Working alongside experienced professionals, students will contribute to meaningful projects that support business decision-making, automation initiatives, and operational efficiency. This role offers exposure to modern analytics tools, data technologies, and emerging AI solutions while developing valuable technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Collaborate with a team focused on data analysis, visualization, and technology solutions that support Finance operations.
  • Gain hands-on experience with analytical and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, and AI-enabled technologies.
  • Assist with the design, development, and enhancement of data models, dashboards, reports, and automated workflows.
  • Support project work and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, data quality, and business processes.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, generate insights, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence initiatives that enhance reporting and decision-making capabilities.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of Finance reporting and data solutions.

  • University student enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related program and in good academic standing.
  • Available for the Winter 2027 Work Term.
  • Experience with data analysis, programming, or technology-focused projects through coursework, co-ops, personal projects, or extracurricular activities is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, Alteryx, or similar analytics and automation tools is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Curious and detail-oriented with a process improvement mindset.
  • Interest in data analytics, reporting, automation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in Data Analytics, Technology, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
