Some of what you will do

Perform manual and system tasks to support inbound and outbound furniture operations. Identifies and resolves issues in various functional areas; receiving, put away, staging, loading, and shipping. Supports and assembles “make ready” furniture to support efficient warehouse processing and maximize warehouse space usage. Prepares paperwork and schedules for the delivery of furniture on assigned routes with internal and external carriers while meeting internal schedule and quality standards. Provides customer service to internal and external customers by assisting with problem resolution as required.

Specifically, You Will

Assists in the preparations for delivery of furniture orders through warehouse procedures.
Pre-loading of product for delivery, utilizing the manifest and our schedule provided.
Assist in the assembly and set up any furniture as required.
Inform manager/lead hand of outstanding issues.
Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and report any maintenance problems to manager/lead hand.
Supports inbound and outbound furniture operations.
Receives vendor purchase orders, regular lines, special orders, or customer returns.
Performs inventory counts and location lookups.
Follows processes to report common daily discrepancies or issues (i.e., shortages, damage) to supervisor or order management.
Monitors and ensures task completion within shift.
Picks and stages outbound orders as necessary on day shift.
Performs a variety of lookups and research to support functional areas.
Performs the following non-system inbound and outbound tasks.
Separates and labels product received, stocks product into identified locations verifying SKU and quantity accuracy.
Assembles make-ready furniture and stages for delivery.
Coordinates with Furniture Sales Support to resolve items received that are not on purchase order.
Completes Receiving Discrepancy Tickets when vendor shipment is inaccurate.
Picks and stocks products to complete replenishment tasks.
Picks product for customer orders ensuring quantity and unit-of-measure (UOM) picked is equal to quantity and UOM ordered.
Checks SKU and quantities picked for customer orders to ensure accuracy, and re-packages or wrap orders as needed.
Sorts and loads customer orders by route and delivery order.
May schedule vendor shipments.
Participate in all scheduled physical inventories.
Performs basic housekeeping in assigned areas of warehouse.
Adheres to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.
Maintain current certifications on all power equipment as prescribed by the supervisor.

Some of what you need

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Need to have good computer, math, writing and reading skills.
Minimum three (3) months’ related experience in a warehouse environment required, or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
Job requires the ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment.
CFS knowledge desired.
Furniture product knowledge desired.
Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack and cherry picker preferred.

Physical demands/working conditions

Work requires physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push/pull, or balance weight for extended periods of time.
The employee must frequently lift, move, and/or carry between 70 to 100 pounds.
With mechanical assistance, employees will occasionally move up to 300 pounds.
Will regularly operate warehouse equipment that requires manual dexterity and use of lightweight tools requiring some coordinated movements.
Activities include using a forklift or pallet jack to move furniture and lightweight tools to assemble furniture.
