What you’ll own as the Senior Financial Analyst
You will work closely with Product leadership to support financial planning, product performance, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Product leaders to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions, and support strategic decision-making.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance management for assigned product areas.
- Analyse product performance, investment spend, revenue, cost, margin, and key business drivers.
- Identify risks, opportunities, trends, and variances, providing clear recommendations to support financial targets.
- Build business cases, financial models, and scenario analysis for product investments, growth opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
- Support investment prioritisation, capital planning, governance, and tracking against approved business cases.
- Contribute to Quarterly Product Reviews through financial analysis, performance commentary, and insight-led recommendations.
- Build strong relationships across Product, Technology, Commercial, and Finance to drive collaboration and commercial outcomes.
- Deliver ad hoc analysis, modelling, and presentations to support senior stakeholder and executive decision-making.
What you’ll bring
- Completed a professional accountancy qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and data management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Experience building financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to support decision-making.
- A solid understanding of FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.
- A proactive and commercially focused mindset, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate financial analysis.
It’s a bonus if you have
- Previous experience using Power BI to build dashboards and support decision-making.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data effectively.
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting frameworks would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Experience supporting payments, fintech, or product-led businesses, with an understanding of product performance, investment decisions, and commercial drivers.
