Assisted Living Manager (RPN)

The Opportunity

As an Assisted Living Manager at Chartwell, you’ll have the rewarding opportunity to lead a team dedicated to providing personalized care to residents. You will foster a culture of empathy, safety, and well-being, while ensuring our Assisted Living services exceed the expectations of residents and their families.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver high-quality, individualized care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Ensure residents’ needs are met with empathy, respect, and professionalism
- Act as primary contact for residents and families, addressing inquiries and involving them in care decisions
- Supervise, schedule, and support care staff through training, coaching, and Chartwell’s values
- Uphold policies and regulatory standards, ensuring safe medication practices and accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with managers across departments to deliver holistic, integrated resident care
- Support budgeting, staffing, and purchasing to maintain operational and resource efficiency
- Liaise with physicians, pharmacies, and community partners; participate in outreach, marketing, and Manager on Duty rotation
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum of two years clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in geriatrics or memory care
- Previous management or supervisory experience is an asset
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses
- Leadership and team-building skills
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Retirement Homes Act and Nursing Act
- Valid Driver’s License, or reliable means of transportation

Additional Requirements
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid provincial driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Comfort using AI and other digital platform systems and tools to support daily work
- Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
