Role Summary
Serves as the end-to-end program lead for high value AI use cases and solutions in the Investments business unit. Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, drives benefit achievement by leading initiation, planning, solution design and build, and value realization through key performance indicators and solution adoption.
Leads complex AI initiatives spanning multiple functions, working across business, technology, data, risk, and corporate teams. Engages other colleagues/resources and assigns appropriate responsibilities to support achievement of AI roadmap and project plan(s). Independently applies expert knowledge of advanced methodologies, selecting and applying high-level project management tools to conduct analyses, reporting, and related activities for assigned projects. Contributes to the development of internal protocols and processes used to carry out program management work.
Responsible for program management activities, including contingency/dependency tracking, status reporting, issue/risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, and internal/external stakeholder management, while ensuring delivery is on time and within budget. Provides oversight to workstream/task leads within the program; resolves any escalated project risks, issues, and dependencies. This role requires a leader who can operate at pace, navigate ambiguity, influence senior stakeholders, and drive disciplined execution across an evolving AI landscape.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the end-to-end program lead for high-value AI use cases. Translates AI strategy into actionable execution plans, ensuring alignment with business priorities, technology architecture, and data capabilities. Leads initiation, integrated planning, solution design coordination, execution, and delivery through value realization. Act as a bridge between strategy and execution, partnering closely with AI Strategy leads and business sponsors to operationalize strategic priorities into sequenced, deliverable roadmaps. Drive prioritization, tradeoff decisions, and execution approaches across competing demands and evolving AI opportunities. Builds and synthesizes project plans, budgeting and forecasting models, or resource plans requiring significant stakeholder management skills and interpretation of diverse and varied information. Monitors market changes and stakeholder needs; recommends plan adjustments to meet changing needs that optimize costs, benefits, and speed of delivery. Develops statements of work, stakeholder management plans, guiding principles, project goals, risks, resource allocation, and roles and responsibilities for assigned projects.
- Secures, leads, motivates, and inspires the internal and external resources required to effectively deliver the program. May participate in the evaluation, selection, and management of external resources or vendors. Provides transparency in AI use case progress and effectively anticipates and mitigates major risks across the project life cycle. Proactively crafts feasible solutions to combat risks and issues. Exercises sound judgment, balancing risks and making prompt decisions in ambiguous or difficult situations. Develops accurate, decision-ready materials and recommendations for senior leadership, with strong judgment and attention to detail. Drives work forward with an appropriate level of independence, escalating issues thoughtfully while minimizing the need for day-to-day leadership direction. Manages communication with management at a detailed functional level and discusses/resolves issues.
- Works with all required functions and groups to effectively plan and execute the project(s). May coordinate resources across organizational boundaries. Trains and coaches project teams in execution methodologies and promotes adoption of best practices. Develops tools and training methods to enable successful project management throughout the enterprise. Ensures project delivery is in conformance with company methodologies and standards; recommends improvements and changes as necessary. Considered a specialist in this space.
- Evaluates AI use case costs and benefits and helps establish consistent approaches for intake, prioritization, value assessment, and lifecycle governance. Compares actual results and forecasts to original or baseline plans and updates plans with accurate, up-to-date information in a timely manner. Reports financial information and status to required management. Ensures AI solution meets quality and reliability requirements and that the launch approach meets or exceeds adoption targets. Monitors program results/performance for significant deviations, evaluates options, and makes recommendations for corrective actions; implements selected actions.
- Coach and support teams in program management best practices and AI-specific delivery considerations. Contribute to the evolution of Transformation Office capabilities, tools, and standards. Support change enablement efforts to ensure AI solutions are effectively embedded into business workflows and adopted at scale.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 8+ years of total relevant work experience
Preferred
- Experience partnering with investment professionals and supporting core investment processes, including research, portfolio construction, trading, and investment decision-making, preferably within an asset management environment.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust, navigate complex organizations, and drive alignment across senior leaders.
- Proven ability to lead multi-workstream, cross-functional programs with significant organizational impact and senior stakeholder engagement.
- Strong expertise in program management disciplines, including governance, planning, financial management, risk mitigation, and value tracking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to track progress, manage dependencies, and communicate status, risks, and results effectively.
- Experience supporting AI or digital transformation initiatives, with an understanding of delivery, governance, and risk considerations.
- AI literacy, including a practical understanding of AI concepts, use case types, delivery lifecycles, and key considerations related to adoption, governance, and risk.
- Experience partnering with data and engineering organizations, as well as risk and compliance functions.
- Certification or formal training in program or project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile, SAFe, Lean).

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
Base Salary Ranges

$122,000.00 - $209,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$135,000.00 - $230,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$153,000.00 - $261,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role . Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package . Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
