Education
- Master's degree in nursing
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate (BCLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
- Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) training
Knowledge and Abilities
- Ability to work autonomously with high levels of responsibility & accountability
- Knowledge in disease and injury prevention, health protection and harm reduction
- Ability to practice autonomously within NP scope, legislation, CRNS standards
- Integrates clinical knowledge/experience to support electronic documentation
- Adaptability for competing/changing patient priorities, situations, environment
- Ability to lead, mentor, and support staff in a collaborative team environment
- Knowledge in research processes and program evaluation
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Respects Indigenous health priorities, community context, client values
- Communicates through therapeutic relationships, client and family education
- Knowledgeable a trauma informed approach to patient and family care
- Demonstrated ability to use sound clinical judgement
- Proven conflict resolution skills

- Ability to integrate clinical knowledge and experience into clinical practice
- Demonstrates skills in clinical governance, research-informed practice
- Knowledge of social determinants/resource evaluation for assessment/mngment plan

- Knowledge of diverse, culturally safe and representative workforce
- Knowledge in wellness and holistic models of health care
- Knowledge in consultation
- Working knowledge in health promotion

Other Information
- Travel required to provide services within the area
- May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
- Multisite position serving Kipling Integrated Health Centre & PHC
- Registered/eligible for registration with the CRNS as RN (NP)
- Standby may be required.
