Education

  • Master's degree in nursing

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate (BCLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
  • Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) training

  • Ability to work autonomously with high levels of responsibility & accountability
  • Knowledge in disease and injury prevention, health protection and harm reduction
  • Ability to practice autonomously within NP scope, legislation, CRNS standards
  • Integrates clinical knowledge/experience to support electronic documentation
  • Adaptability for competing/changing patient priorities, situations, environment
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and support staff in a collaborative team environment
  • Knowledge in research processes and program evaluation
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Communicates through therapeutic relationships, client and family education
  • Knowledgeable a trauma informed approach to patient and family care
  • Demonstrated ability to use sound clinical judgement

  • Ability to integrate clinical knowledge and experience into clinical practice
  • Demonstrates skills in clinical governance, research-informed practice

  • Travel required to provide services within the area
  • May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
  • Multisite position serving Kipling Integrated Health Centre & PHC
  • Registered/eligible for registration with the CRNS as RN (NP)
  • Standby may be required.
