About The Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will work to take care and assist the team with a 40-bed Assisted Living Facility. Compassion and care is a number one priority. Open shift hours include- 6AM-2PM and 2PM-10PM . Our team is looking for someone who is patient, empathetic, and has the ability to manage several tasks that need to be completed daily.

Duties

Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens including blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids using aseptic techniques and proper specimen handling protocols.
Ensure that the patients' basic hygiene needs are met by bathing, shaving and dressing them.
Help patients use the bathroom.
Change the bedsheets for patients.
Monitor patients' recovery or general well-being and report findings to the registered nurse.
Prepare patients for examinations or procedures.
Support laboratory management activities including inventory control, calibration of instruments, and adherence to safety standards
Maintain detailed records of laboratory procedures, test results, quality control measures, and equipment maintenance to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
6 hr Med-Tech certification for the state of FL.
Compassion for patients
Worked with the geriatric community in the past is preferred
Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals and documenting findings clearly.
