About the Role

This position is located in Hamburg, Germany and reports to the Global Technology Manager Medical. The contract is limited for 3 Years (this applies to a tariff position).

What you will do

Drive the development, standardization and implementation of manufacturing technologies across Essity Medical to support growth and operational excellence
Establish and maintain global technology standards, equipment specifications and manufacturing best practices to ensure consistency and compliance
Lead technical and manufacturing technology workstreams within major investment and industrialization projects, providing expertise from concept development through implementation and supporting technology transfer, start-up and ramp-up
Scout, evaluate and introduce innovative manufacturing technologies and industry trends to strengthen Essity’s future capabilities
Provide technical leadership in equipment selection, supplier engagement, requirement definition, technology assessments and design reviews
Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders to develop robust, scalable and sustainable manufacturing solutions while improving safety, quality and performance across the global Medical network

Who you are
Even if not all of the following points apply to you, we would be happy to get to know you and talk about the possibility of working with you!

University degree in Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline. Other engineering backgrounds with relevant experience are also welcome
Several years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, technology development or capital investment projects, preferably in an international environment
Solid understanding of manufacturing equipment, automation, machine design and industrial production processes; experience in regulated industries is an advantage
Proven ability to define technical requirements, equipment specifications, technology standards and manufacturing concepts
Strong capability to drive technical topics, influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across functions, sites and cultures
Curious and innovative mindset, combined with strong communication skills, a hands-on approach, willingness to travel internationally, and fluency in English. German and additional languages are considered an advantage
