Project Finance Contract Analyst

About The Role

The Project Finance Contracts Analyst is responsible for providing accurate and timely contract reviews and payment schedules. These are individual contributor roles working closely with Legal, Business Development, Proposals and Contracts, Project Managers and other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Review Client contracts for any deviation from Novotech standard financial language and assess the impact and relevant adjustments required (with appropriate approvals where necessary).
  • Manage contracting issues raised by Clients, including but not limited to inflation and security deposit negotiations.
  • Assist Legal with reviewing Client contract template financial clauses in comparison to Novotech standard financial clauses and assess the impact and relevant adjustments required.
  • Review and/or provide payment schedules for milestone contacts, ensuring Novotech remains in an overall unearned position.
  • Implement inflation within the Novotech financial system ensuring rates are up to date prior to month end.
  • Respond to contract helpdesk tickets in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Complete final financial reconciliation in CRM at study close.
  • Support financial reporting and analysis, including but not limited to unbilled, project cancellation, and start up contracting.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Project Finance group.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Finance degree/diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in CRO, Consultancy and/or Service business.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of contractual language.
  • Must have analytical & critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills with business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Must have high level of proficiency in Microsoft office, specifically advanced Excel skills.
