Meet Our Team

We are the Global SOC Team , part of Enterprise Information Security at Hitachi Digital . Our mission is to protect the company’s and its customers’ critical information systems and data by proactively monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cyber threats. We are a team of passionate security professionals, threat hunters, and problem-solvers who continuously strive to improve our security posture through innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Security Engineer who is passionate about cybersecurity, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to contribute to a world-class Security Operations Center.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Security Engineer , you will work as an individual contributor within our 24x7 Security Operations Center and play a key role in strengthening our detection, response, and threat hunting capabilities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Monitor, triage, and investigate alerts from SIEM, EDR, DLP, Email Security, Identity Protection.
  • Lead the investigation of escalated security incidents and drive them to resolution with clear root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Perform proactive threat hunting across enterprise environments to identify advanced threats and suspicious activities.
  • Develop, tune, and maintain detection use cases, correlation rules, and security analytics.
  • Manage and optimize security controls, policies, and automated workflows within EDR platforms (CrowdStrike preferred).
  • Conduct malware analysis and security investigations across endpoints, identities, cloud services, and network environments.
  • Review and analyze telemetry, logs, and threat intelligence to identify security anomalies and attack patterns.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, IAM, Compliance, and Engineering teams to improve security controls.
  • Mentor SOC analysts and provide technical guidance during investigations and incident response activities.
  • Keep up to date with emerging threats, attacker techniques, security technologies, and industry best practices.

What You Bring to the Team

Required Experience

  • 4-6 years of experience in a 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
  • Strong experience handling escalated security incidents and leading investigations.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, DLP, Email Security, Identity Protection.
  • Experience creating and tuning correlation rules, detection logic, and security policies.
  • Experience working with CrowdStrike Falcon or other enterprise EDR platforms.
  • Experience conducting incident response, threat hunting, digital forensics, and malware investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK Framework, Cyber Kill Chain, Threat Intelligence, and Attack Analysis.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and producing incident reports for management and technical teams.
  • Good understanding of Identity Security, Privileged Access, and Identity Protection concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTPS, LDAP, VPNs, and web technologies.
  • Experience with Windows, Linux/Unix, macOS, and server environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive security initiatives to completion.

  • Knowledge of Cloud Security (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Knowledge with Vulnerability Management and Security Assessments.
  • Security certifications such as:

  • CompTIA CySA+
