About The Role

This is a 12 months fixed term contract.

As a Senior Application Support Engineer, you will support the platforms that underpin critical reconciliation and operational processes across the bank. This role offers the opportunity to work on a business-critical service, combining deep technical expertise with problem solving, continuous improvement and stakeholder collaboration .

As a senior technical specialist, you'll be responsible for maintaining the stability, resilience and performance of the Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM) and RecOps platforms. You'll partner closely with operational teams, technology stakeholders and vendors to resolve complex issues, enhance platform capability and drive operational excellence.

You'll bring

  • Extensive experience in Application Support, Platform Support or Systems Engineering roles.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • SQL and database experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications across cloud, SaaS and on-premises environments.
  • A strong understanding of operational support practices, including incident, problem and change management.
  • Experience working in environments where risk management, compliance and operational resilience are critical.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with a passion for automation, simplification and innovation.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience within financial services or banking.
  • Scripting or automation experience using tools such as PowerShell or Python.
  • ITIL certification or similar industry qualifications.
