About The Role
Group Company: Shalina Overseas Manufacturing Designation: Finance Technician Office Location: Luanda, Angola Position Description: The Finance Technician is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial records, proper documentation, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with internal financial procedures. The role supports financial reporting, reconciliations, payment processes, expense monitoring, and other activities within the Finance Department. Primary Responsibilities: Support the management and control of daily financial operations; Process and monitor payments, receipts, and other financial transactions; Perform bank reconciliations and account monitoring; Assist in the preparation of financial reports and control schedules; Support invoice verification and financial documentation processes; Monitor and support expense control activities; Assist with monthly financial closing activities; Ensure proper filing and organization of financial records and documents; Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures and applicable requirements. Additional Responsibilities: Support the Finance team with administrative and operational activities; Assist during internal and external audits when required; Follow up on pending financial documentation and transactions; Coordinate with other departments regarding finance-related matters; Perform other duties assigned by the Finance Manager or management. Reporting Team Reporting Designation: Finance Manager / Finance Supervisor Reporting Department: Finance Department Educational Qualifications Preferred Category: Finance / Accounting / Business Management Field Specialization: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related fields Degree: Bachelor's Degree or Technical Qualification Academic Score: Good academic performance preferred Institution Tier: Recognized and accredited educational institution Required Certification/s: Professional certification in Finance, Accounting, ERP, or related areas will be an advantage. Required Training/s: Financial Management; Accounting Principles; Microsoft Excel; ERP Systems; Financial Reporting and Analysis; Internal Financial Controls. Required Work Experience Industry: Manufacturing, FMCG, Retail, Pharmaceutical, Commercial, or related industries Role: Finance Technician, Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Accounting Technician, or similar financial role Years of Experience: 2–4 years Key Performance Indicators: Accuracy of financial records and transactions; Timely processing of payments and financial documentation; Timely completion of bank reconciliations; Accuracy and timely submission of financial reports; Compliance with financial procedures and internal controls; Timely completion of monthly financial activities; Proper organization and availability of financial documentation; Reduction of financial discrepancies and pending transactions. Work Environment Details: Office-based working environment with regular use of computers, financial systems, spreadsheets, and ERP platforms. The position requires frequent interaction with the Finance team and other internal departments. Specific Requirements Travel: Occasional travel may be required depending on business needs. Vehicle: Not mandatory. Work Permit: Valid authorization to work in Angola. Other Details Pay Rate: Competitive and based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Contract Types: Fixed-term or permanent employment contract, according to company requirements and applicable legislation. Time Constraints: Standard working hours, with flexibility required during month-end closing, audits, reporting periods, and other critical financial deadlines. Compliance Related: Strict compliance with company policies, financial procedures, internal controls, confidentiality requirements, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
