Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Tax Compliance
  • Assist in the preparation and review of complex individual and family tax returns for high-net-worth clients.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather necessary information for tax filings.
  • Tax Planning Support
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of tax planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • Assist in researching and analyzing tax issues to provide recommendations for clients.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and communicate their impact to the team and clients.
  • Client Interaction
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with high-net-worth clients.
  • Respond to client inquiries as well as to notices from various tax authorities and provide support on related matters.
  • Assist in client meetings and presentations as needed.
  • Research and Analysis
  • Conduct tax research to stay informed about new regulations and industry developments.
  • Analyze financial data and documents to identify tax planning opportunities and potential issues.
  • Present findings to senior team members and clients.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork
  • Work closely with other tax professionals and departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide support to tax managers and directors as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably with exposure to high-net-worth clients.
  • Previous experience in public accounting or a similar tax-related role is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field preferred
  • 2 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • CPA candidates preferred
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
