Job Description Summary

The Radiation Therapist delivers ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist in a safe and accurate manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

Eligible for registration in Radiation Therapy Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Registry must be completed within eighteen (18) months of eligibility.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in Radiation Therapy Technology or satisfactory completion of a 24-month course in Radiologic Technology and ARRT registration.
• Previous experience in a clinical Radiation Oncology setting.

LANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

SKILLS

Preferred

Experience in operating personal computers including operation of computer software in a Windows environment.
