Job Summary
The Manufacturing Technician will be based in Buffalo Grove, IL reports to General Manager. This role supports manufacturing operations by performing a variety of technical and production-related activities. This role works closely with engineering teams to assist with equipment setup, process improvements, product testing, and manufacturing experiments. The Manufacturing Technician helps ensure products meet quality standards while supporting efficient and continuous production operations.
Schedule - 0200p-1030p Monday - Friday (5% Shift Diff)
Principle Accountabilities
- Support engineers with equipment setup, calibration, and process validation activities.
- Assist in conducting manufacturing experiments, trials, and process improvement initiatives.
- Perform rework, inspection, and quality testing of parts, components, subassemblies, and finished products.
- Collect, analyze, and evaluate operational data using specialized software and manufacturing systems.
- Make on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment based on data analysis and established procedures.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.
- Assist in identifying manufacturing issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Support the development and improvement of manufacturing methods, procedures, and work instructions.
- Maintain accurate production, testing, and process documentation.
- Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while performing assigned duties.
- Works with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks.
- Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
- Performs rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.
- Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment.
- Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or technical environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, procedures, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with quality inspection and testing methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and data collection software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

 The base pay range for this position is provided below. The final base rate offered will be determined using job-related, non-discriminatory criteria, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, geographic location, education, external market data, and internal equity.
