Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Functional Test Engineer located in Milpitas, CA.
Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager the Functional Test Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment.
What a typical day looks like
- Strong experience in electrical manufacturing environments, with deep expertise in product debugging, failure analysis (FA), and troubleshooting of complex AI computing systems throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
- Comprehensive understanding of AI product architecture, operating principles, product specifications, and functional test methodologies, with the ability to interpret electrical schematics, block diagrams, and circuitry for root cause identification and resolution.
- Hands-on proficiency with hardware, test software, and production test environments, including setup, validation, and operation of diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and other automated test systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes, quality standards, safety regulations, and best practices to ensure reliable and efficient production operations.
- Proven ability to develop, support, and improve functional testing solutions, including test plans, diagnostics, and manufacturing test processes that drive product quality and yield improvement.
- Collaborative and customer-focused team player with excellent communication skills, capable of mentoring team members, partnering cross-functionally, and effectively presenting technical and manufacturing issues to internal and external stakeholders.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team
- BS (MS preferred) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- 5 -7 plus years of experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer electrical technologies.
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Proven leadership experience driving cross-functional initiatives and operational excellence, with the ability to execute strategic objectives, influence functional processes and technologies, and deliver measurable business impact across multiple teams or areas of responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound independent judgment in complex or ambiguous situations, establish or improve methods, standards, and procedures, and provide technical leadership through coaching, mentoring, and leading teams while fostering a collaborative, values-driven culture.

 The base pay range for this position is provided below. The final base rate offered will be determined using job-related, non-discriminatory criteria, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, geographic location, education, external market data, and internal equity.
$98,700.00 USD - $135,700.00 USD Annual
