Job Description
Develop various content like article, story, photos, caption, video script to amplify our impact in children and communities from the development program context and emergency response.
All staff are expected to contribute to Wahana Visi Indonesia’s Transformational Development, Advocacy, and Emergency Response approaches, and may be required to support emergency response efforts in a timely, coordinated, and accountable manner.
Strategy Development & Planning
- Develop annual work plan to produce story/article of change with evidence (MSC) and branding materials.
Resource Branding & Management
- Produce engaging story from AP to be exposed in WVI’s communications channel (offline and online) for branding purposes.
- Provide content story, article photos, documentations, caption that related to project or during emergency response to be used for local and international publications.
- Provide support (develop if needed or review) brief/script for design/video production regarding project communication materials.
- Provide review for all publications, including reports, designs, and videos by AP, project, and other departments.
- Provide support of communications materials related to compliance for grant/contract (review), corporate/retail (review), and individual acquisition (review and/or production) programs.
Capacity Building/ Technical works
- Assist and giving support for implementation of branding and communications activity to reach awareness and resources in alignment with brand guidelines, and related policies (such as Safeguarding).
- Implement Branding & Integrated Communications capacity building strategy and plan in close coordination with other departments, regional office, and global center (if needed).
Accountability & Quality Assurance
- Increase visibility article/stories of the impact changes of organizations ministry in all projects (bilingual article).
- Ensure timely delivery of quality resources for all communications channels.
- Raise the story of changes through regular production of information, news, photographs, script development, photo caption.
- Responsible in giving updates information during disaster preparedness & emergency response.
- Provide timely updates at the onset of disaster or calamity to inform NO, GC and the SOs via WVRELIEF and another communications database.
- Produce and publish contents during and at the end of emergency responses.
Communications in Emergency
- Provide creative directions for brand alignment include safeguarding element in all emergency communications material.
- Develop creative and communicative marketing products to increase resources & awareness for emergency context, including making and editing simple videos and designs through applications if needed (e.g.: Canva, Adobe Photoshop, CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
- Work with outsource video/photographers, graphic designers to deliver qualified emergency communications products timely.
- Assist and giving support for implementation of marketing and communications activity in emergency context.
Networking & Coordination
- Provide support to Zonal offices/APs/Projects and other department in NO, in a form of review or consultancy.
Management & Leadership
- Develop and manage annual performance agreement.
- Submits periodical/ monthly accomplishment report.
- Build and maintain positive spirit of working in team with other staff in respective unit and department.
- Provide Christian value and support to enrich the organization's life, faith, Christian commitments and ministry to the disadvantaged children and communities we seek to serve.
- Be a role model and inspiration in managing work, communication and relationship with internal staff and external parties.
- Manage all risks related to communications according to organization policies, guidelines, and standard. This includes risks in fraud, safeguarding, and other related risks.
