JOB SUMMARY

Argano is seeking a EPM Planning Consultant for our Client Services practice. A consultant in Argano Managed Services is an experienced Oracle Cloud EPM professional responsible for sustaining, optimizing, and continuously improving clients’ production environments after go-live. The consultant manages a portfolio of client priorities, provides functional and technical leadership, and guides incident resolution, service requests, enhancements, and process improvements. Working collaboratively with client stakeholders, the Consultant helps protect operational stability, increase adoption, and deliver measurable business value. The role also mentors other consultants, contributes to reusable practices, and supports strong client satisfaction and long-term account success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Oracle Cloud EPM Planning
  • Manage multiple client workstreams and service priorities concurrently, balancing incidents, service requests, enhancements, recurring activities, and planned initiatives against agreed priorities and service commitments.
  • Act as a functional expert as part of a team and/or independently with no supervision.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Keep all parties informed about progress, challenges, and changes.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand evolving business objectives, operational challenges, and Oracle EPM needs. Assess existing configurations, usage patterns, recurring issues, and business processes to identify opportunities to stabilize, automate, optimize, and improve user adoption.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Oracle Cloud EPM monthly updates and relevant Oracle roadmap developments. Assess client impact, communicate recommendations, and identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Advanced degree or relevant professional certification is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of consulting or relevant industry experience, including significant experience supporting and enhancing Oracle Planning Cloud environments after go-live, with prior full-lifecycle implementation experience preferred to demonstrate a strong understanding of application design and downstream impacts.
  • Expert knowledge of the Oracle Planning Cloud tools required.
  • Hands-on experience supporting, troubleshooting, configuring, or enhancing Oracle Planning Cloud modules such as Workforce, Capital, Projects, Profitability and Cost Management, or Strategic Modeling.
  • Strong Essbase calculation script writing skills preferred
  • Experience with Groovy Scripts preferred
  • Experience with Oracle EPM Data Exchange or Data Management, including troubleshooting data and metadata loads, mappings, integrations, validation failures, and recurring load processes.
  • Experience with EDM a plus
  • Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud a plus
  • Candidate should be teachable with a strong desire to learn and expand current knowledge base
  • Professional services experience in an Oracle Cloud EPM Managed Services, application support, or production-operations role is strongly preferred; experience advising client stakeholders at a strategic level is also beneficial.
  • In-depth knowledge of the relevant technologies and systems.

  • Service Delivery Management: Prioritize and coordinate concurrent client needs across incidents, requests, recurring operations, and enhancements while maintaining clear ownership, realistic commitments, accurate status, and alignment with service levels.
  • Continuous Improvement: Translate recurring issues, service trends, Oracle Cloud updates, and industry practices into practical recommendations that improve stability, efficiency, controls, adoption, and business outcomes.
