Vice President, APAC Global Payments Solutions Chief Operating Office

  • Seeking a driven, self-motivated executive to join the Global Payments Solutions (GPS) Chief Operating Office (COO) team supporting our transaction banking franchise in APAC. The ideal candidate for this role must have experience working in a fast-paced work environment with the ability to multi-task and perform with a high level of efficiency.
  • This role directly supports the APAC GPS COO and will require close partnership with key senior leaders in the Front Line Unit Personnel (“FLU”), enterprise and line of business COOs and support functions (e.g., Compliance, Risk, Technology, Finance, Operations, Legal, etc.) to drive initiatives across the GPS business and its control environment.
  • This role will work closely with Global COO management to optimize global business performance, strategy, operating model and processes while ensuring strong governance and controls. The team is looking for a candidate with GPS product knowledge, strong analytical abilities, excellent execution and time management skills, and ability to partner with others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver on key business initiatives
  • Co-shape and execute the strategy for the APAC GPS business including marketing and communications plan
  • Identify and orchestrate growth opportunities across segments and markets
  • Define and track performance against each GPS functions
  • Identify, assess and mitigate business risks
  • Work with functional teams on initiatives related to controls, risk management, regulatory requirements, business processes, and technology, among others
  • Manage – and participate in – various business management routines, across business governance, forums and key processes
  • Help to increase efficiency and drive best practices across teams
  • Design and govern APAC GPS sales practice management activities
  • Help to coordinate the development and approval of new products
  • Design and produce various business analysis and metrics for senior management

Qualifications

  • Preferred candidates will have extensive experience in one or more of the following areas: GPS, COO Office, Strategy, Market Risk, Compliance, Middle Office, Operations, Finance
  • Strong knowledge of the APAC Transaction Banking business
  • Experience in leading teams and managing global deliverables
  • High degree of comfort partnering with senior management, strong executive presence and communication skills
  • Comfort with engaging external parties (industry bodies, publications, regulators etc.) and clients alike
  • Must be detail oriented, and precise
  • Proven ability to manage timelines and display sound judgment to escalate issues as needed
  • Critical thinker, energetic and intellectually curious
