Software Designer Co-op/Intern

Position: Software Designer Co-op/Intern

Duration: 4 Months

Date: Winter Term Jan 4th - Apr 30th, 2027

Location: Hybrid in Ottawa

In this role, you will learn about telecommunication networks and large software systems. As a Software Developer, you will be working with a small scrum team coding features in one of the following product areas:

Intent-Based Networking and IP Service Configuration

Automation

• Currently a 2nd year+ candidate for a bachelor’s degree or diploma in a degree in Engineering or Computer Science or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.
• Programming experience in Java, JavaScript Familiar with the ReactJS framework, state management, lifecycle, and unit testing technologies such as Mocha and Jest Object Oriented Analysis and Design.

It would be nice if you also had

• Network management concepts and basic protocols (e.g., SNMP, Netconf / Yang).
