Job Details

  • We are looking for drivers who enjoy cleaning to open, close and clean our Public Toilets and various council buildings in Fife.
  • Transport will be provided to carry cleaning equipment and stock and for travel between sites.

We currently have a permanent post to join our mobile cleaning team based out of Bankhead Central, Glenrothes

Glenrothes

  • 6.5 hours per week 52-week contract,

Sunday summer hours, 14:00pm – 21:00pm, Winter hours 12:00pm – 19:00pm

You will earn a competitive salary of £25,604.23 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including

  • We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £13.64 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
  • Ability to travel within Fife.
  • Travel expenses will be paid – we pay 55 pence per mile to staff using their own car.

  • This work is about ensuring public conveniences and offices in the vicinity are cleaned and maintained to the highest standard.
  • No previous experience is required as on the job training is given, working towards The Cleaning Operatives Proficiency Certificate.

The Person

  • Driver’s licence required for Council Vehicle provided to carry out cleaning.
  • Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a Team.
  • You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.
