About The Role

Help shape the future of global billing operations. As a Director, Billing Operations, you will lead a global team and build a scalable, accurate, and customer-focused billing function within our Quote-to-Cash organization. You will be responsible for strengthening billing performance, processes, controls, and technology capabilities while advancing the future of SaaS billing. Working closely with Order Management, Accounting, Revenue, Accounts Receivable, IT, and other partners, you will help improve billing accuracy and predictability. We are seeking a strong people leader who can balance operational execution with transformation, develop teams through change, and build trusted cross-functional partnerships.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the global Billing Operations team, setting priorities, performance expectations, and development plans while supporting accurate and timely billing.
  • Own billing performance and predictability across SaaS, recurring revenue, professional services, and other billing models, including accuracy, timeliness, backlog, forecasts, key metrics, and issue resolution.
  • Partner with IT, PMO, and Quote-to-Cash stakeholders to improve billing processes and technology, translate business requirements, increase automation, and support adoption of new capabilities.
  • Strengthen upstream processes with Order Management and other Quote-to-Cash teams by improving order quality, contract interpretation, data integrity, and controls that reduce billing exceptions and rework.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Revenue, Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Finance to support financial close activities, AR health, issue resolution, and billing and cash forecasting.
  • Establish and continuously improve billing controls, policies, procedures, and governance while driving root-cause analysis and improvements based on recurring operational and customer issues.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the organization through change, strengthening team capability, engagement, accountability, and readiness for future ways of working.

What you will likely bring

  • 11+ years’ experience in billing operations, Quote-to-Cash, finance operations, or related disciplines, preferably within a global SaaS or technology organization, along with a Bachelor of Finance degree, Bachelor of Accounting degree, Bachelor of Business Administration degree, related degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years’ experience leading and developing teams, preferably across multiple geographies or functions, with demonstrated success maintaining strong execution and employee engagement through change.
  • Deep knowledge of SaaS, subscription, recurring revenue, and professional services billing, including complex contract and billing structures.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end Quote-to-Cash processes, internal controls, Accounts Receivable and billing metrics, financial close requirements, and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading operational transformation, process improvement, and/or billing technology implementation initiatives, supported by strong analytical, problem-solving, change leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience operating in a global, multi-company, multi-entity, and multi-currency environment.

What could set you apart

  • Experience with Salesforce Billing, Salesforce Revenue Cloud, Zuora, or comparable enterprise subscription billing platforms, and a Master’s degree in a related field.
