The IT Product Owner , eKYC Regulatory, is responsible for driving the delivery and evolution of Deutsche Bank's strategic eKYC platform to meet global and regional regulatory requirements. The role acts as the primary interface between Compliance, AFC, CLM, Business, Legal, Operations, and Technology teams, ensuring that regulatory obligations are translated into scalable, effective, and compliant digital solutions.

The Product Owner owns the regulatory product roadmap, prioritization, and delivery of initiatives related to AML, KYC, sanctions, PEP management, ownership structures, enhanced due diligence, auditability, and emerging regulatory requirements, while supporting the bank's One-Code global eKYC strategy.

The Public Cloud Migration Lead is responsible for leading and governing the Private Bank Public Cloud migration portfolio, ensuring successful delivery of cloud transformation objectives, strategic alignment, and achievement of migration KPIs across the application landscape.

Responsibilities

Regulatory Strategy & Product Ownership

  • Define and maintain the eKYC Regulatory roadmap aligned with regulatory commitments and business priorities.
  • Drive implementation of global and regional regulatory requirements across Wealth Management, Private Bank, and Emerging Markets.
  • Act as Product Owner for regulatory initiatives including:
  • EU AML Regulation (EUAMLR) and reporting requirements
  • Beneficial Ownership and Voting Rights calculations
  • PEP and Sanctions enhancements
  • Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD/EDR)
  • KYC policy-driven changes
  • Regulatory audit and record-keeping requirements
  • Ensure product decisions balance regulatory compliance, user experience, operational efficiency, and technology sustainability.

PB Public Cloud migration

  • Own PB Public Cloud migration KPIs, including:
  • Cloud Onboarding
  • First Go-Live
  • Final Go-Live
  • De-Link milestones
  • GCP Consumption targets
  • Govern the PB cloud migration portfolio and ensure alignment with Domain Leads, Application Owners, GTI, TDI, COO, Architecture.
  • Provide monthly executive reporting on migration status, milestones, infrastructure disposition, risks, and GCP consumption.
  • Review and approve new migration requests and Change Requests (CRs), ensuring appropriate scope, timelines, business value, and governance compliance.
  • Drive migration demand management, budget planning, prioritization, and investment decisions.
  • Monitor migration progress, identify risks and blockers, and facilitate accelerated delivery.
  • Act as the key liaison between PB and GTI to ensure alignment of strategic cloud objectives and delivery commitments.
  • Maintain and govern the Infrastructure Disposition Roadmap in line with PB and GTI strategy.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, reusability, and adoption of cloud migration best practices across application teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Public Cloud migration topics, ensuring transparency, stakeholder engagement, and effective risk management.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with AFC, Compliance, Legal, Operations, CLM, Transformation and Business stakeholders.
  • Lead requirement definition workshops and facilitate regulatory impact assessments.
  • Build consensus across multiple regions and functions on regulatory interpretation and implementation.
  • Present roadmaps, delivery status, risks, and regulatory impacts to senior management and governance forums.

Product Delivery

  • Own the product backlog and prioritization for the Regulatory squad.
  • Translate regulatory obligations into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with engineers, architects, data specialists, testers, and AI teams throughout delivery.
  • Drive Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning.
  • Ensure delivery quality through UAT, controls testing, and production readiness assessments.

Regulatory and Control Governance

  • Ensure solutions meet internal controls, audit expectations, and regulatory commitments.
  • Maintain traceability from regulation and policy requirements through technology implementation.
  • Participate in governance councils, regulatory reviews, audits, and control assessments.
  • Escalate risks, dependencies, and compliance gaps appropriately.

Data & Architecture Leadership

  • Define regulatory data requirements and ownership models.
  • Support implementation of holistic client views and ownership structure capabilities.
  • Partner with architecture teams to drive harmonization and One-Code design principles.
  • Promote reusable regulatory services and consistent controls across regions.

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor KPIs, risks, defects, and regulatory remediation actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of onboarding, periodic review, sanctions, and screening processes.
  • Identify automation opportunities leveraging data, analytics, and AI technologies.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Very good understanding of the IT processes, software development and software operations.
  • Proven record of understanding business needs and converting them into delivery goals
  • Previous exposure with interactions with various senior stakeholders spanning across different regions and business units;
  • Excellent understanding of customer and user needs, business dynamics and banking/technology (as relevant)
  • Familiarly with products and business processes within KYC, it’s a plus
  • Experience in identifying inefficiencies and opportunities in the value chain, processes and products, designing and implementing solutions as an agile team with the support from relevant stakeholders also experience leading product and/or cross functional teams
  • Ability to think strategically and anticipate customer, user and stakeholder needs on a long-term basis, reflecting this in the product vision and ability to deliver incremental features mapped to the vision
  • Experience in change management activities and ability to optimise the impact of team delivery while being able to communicate information effectively with people from varying backgrounds and levels of seniority including business, technical and other stakeholders
  • “Servant-leadership” capabilities with the discipline not to act as the team / project manager, the ability to provide direction and drive to enable the agile team to work effectively in a self-directed way and ability to influence senior business and IT executives
  • Completer-finisher mindset which ensures that activities are completed, and business impact is realised
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage customer, user and stakeholder expectations and not to be overwhelmed by external pressures on the team with excellent communication and interpersonal skills at different organisational level with both technical and non-technical people
  • BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Technology Delivery, or Regulatory Change.
  • Strong experience within Financial Services, preferably Private Banking, Wealth Management, or Corporate Banking.
