About The Role

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Jotun Kenya is hiring a Multicolour Technician to provide hands-on, professional technical support across Jotun dealers and warehouse in Kenya.

The role will require one to take ownership of maintaining our tinting machines, and related mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring consistent performance, minimizing downtime, and enabling seamless operations that support business growth and customer satisfaction.

The role is based in Nairobi- Kenya, and reports to Area Sales Manager- Decorative Retail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and servicing of Jotun Multicolor tinting machines and mixers.
  • Provide effective troubleshooting support, prompt diagnosis and resolution of equipment issues.
  • Timely execute installation of the complete Jotun Multicolor concept, including shop-in-shop elements, at dealer sites in co-ordination with the sales team.
  • Maintain accurate and updated service and installation data in the official logbook, including spare parts usage and inventory movements, for performance tracking and continuous improvement.
  • Share best practices and conduct trainings to dealer operators on the proper use and basic care of Multicolor equipment to promote safe and efficient operations.
  • Suggest and in attending to a problem with Multicolor equipment. Make use of new updates and concepts on multicolor systems.

Qualifications and experience

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing electrical and/or mechanical equipment.
  • Experience working with tinting machines or similar automated equipment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English.
  • Proficiency and adaptability to technology use and processes.
