Want a role where you can lead from the front without the big ego stuff? We’re looking for a Leading Hand to join Fulton Hogan and help deliver good work with a crew that backs each other.

This is a practical, hands-on role where you’ll support the Foreperson or Supervisor, operate machinery, help keep daily work flowing, and step up when needed. You’ll be trusted to bring the right attitude, work safely, and help lift the people around you.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

Support daily workflow on site and help the team deliver work safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Complete labouring and machine operating tasks, including equipment checks, material handling, and maintaining a clean and tidy site.
Take part in pre-starts, understand hazards and controls, and follow all safety, environmental and quality requirements.
Operate machinery and tools safely and only when trained, competent and licensed to do so.
Help guide less experienced team members and step into the Foreperson’s role when required.

Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with

Current Class 2 licence and W, T, R endorsements.
Experience working on civil or construction sites, including traffic management requirements.
STMS Level 1 and First Aid certification preferred.
A practical mindset and confidence with hands-on, outdoor work in varying conditions.
A reliable, proactive, team-focused attitude and pride in doing good work.
