Wood is currently recruiting a Junior H.O Construction Engineer to join our team in Madrid office.

  • Actions and decisions typically have a moderate influence on the technical results of the project/department.
  • Demonstrates judgment in determining the methods to apply to assigned tasks and begins to put forward ideas on how work assignments can be executed.
  • Works under general supervision: broad instructions covering generally what is to be done, limitations, quality and quantitate expected, deadlines and priorities are given.

Work is regularly reviewed and technical guidance is available.

  • Carries out recurring assignments independently, but refers deviations, problems or unfamiliar situations to others
  • Typically minimum qualified to ISCED Level 5 (technical diploma / apprenticeship) or equivalent

combination of qualifications and experience.

  • Reasonable level of practical, applied knowledge of construction methods and processes typically gained by a minimum of 2 years on the job experience in relevant industry sector
  • Have a reasonable technical knowledge of construction discipline and associated process
  • Ability to interpret discipline documentation
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard and Operability Studies

(HAZOPS) and Hazard Identification Studies (HAZIDS)

Good interpersonal, organisational, communication and team building skills.
