About The Role

Embark on a journey with the Catering BU and seize this opportunity to be part of a team, which plays a key role in the planning, and preparation of meals for employees on a daily basis and during events/cocktails held in the restaurant. Coordination of these daily requests contribute to the smooth running of our businesses activities.

Job vacancy: Cook

Your responsibility will be to prepare meals in accordance with approved menus, recipes, and quality standards, while supporting efficient kitchen operations through proper preparation, coordination during service, and strict adherence to hygiene and food safety requirements.

In this role you will,

  • Prepare meals according to approved menus, recipes, and instructions to ensure consistency in quality and presentation;
  • Apply correct portioning and presentation standards to support cost control and a consistent dining experience;
  • Prepare and organise ingredients in advance of service to support timely meal production and smooth kitchen workflow;
  • Organise food preparation activities during service to meet service timelines and operational requirements;
  • Follow HACCP and food safety procedures at all times to ensure compliance with hygiene and regulatory standards;
  • Maintain workstation cleanliness in kitchen areas to promote a safe and hygienic working environment;
  • Handle and store food supplies correctly to preserve quality and prevent contamination or spoilage;
  • Support food waste reduction initiatives by minimising waste during preparation and service activities;
  • Assist in monitoring ingredient levels and communicate replenishment needs to support uninterrupted kitchen operations;
  • Assist with receiving and checking food supplies when required to ensure quality and accuracy of delivered items;
  • Report equipment faults or operational issues promptly to ensure corrective action and continuity of service.

We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of

  • A School Certificate (SC)
  • A professional qualification in Food Production, Culinary Arts, or an equivalent field;
  • A minimum of 4 years of working experience in Food Production in Hotel/Restaurant/Bar environment/Catering field;
  • A valid Food Handlers certificate.
