Geisinger is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to join our Hospital Medicine team as a Nocturnist at Geisinger Mount Nittany Medical Center (MNMC) in State College, Pennsylvania. Our growing team provides high-quality, patient-centered inpatient care in a collaborative environment supported by specialty consultants, advanced practitioners and experienced nursing staff.
Located in beautiful Happy Valley, Geisinger Mount Nittany Medical Center is a 260-bed acute care hospital serving central Pennsylvania. The facility offers comprehensive medical, surgical and diagnostic services and is supported by more than 60 specialties and subspecialties. Hospitalists play a vital role in coordinating care across multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Job Duties
- Dedicated nocturnist schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 24 clinical weeks per year
- Block scheduling designed to support work-life balance
- Inpatient-only practice
- Average daily census of 15-18 patients with Advanced Practitioner support
- Open ICU model with Critical Care specialists available for consultation and management
- No procedures required, though procedural opportunities are available
- Robust specialty support including Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Nephrology, Rheumatology, General Surgery, Urology and Psychiatry
- Collaborative team environment with four daytime rounding teams, one admitting team and multiple advanced practitioners

Education
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine- (Required)
Experience
Certification(s) and License(s)
Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
