Job Description

UOB Group Technology and Operations (GTO) in Singapore is looking for an experienced Murex techno-functional analyst to join its core Treasury IT team to support the bank’s treasury division for the business with Commodities, Credit Derivative, FXD, IRD,FX, MM, Fixed Income products in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, China and its overseas branches across the globe.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Analyse and manage business requirements into a solution design, managing user requirements workshops and formulation of an overall solution design, modelling transactions through the system to ensure that the business requirements are met.
  • Hands-on business analysis role to analyse and propose solutions for busiess issues, process changes and functional requirements.
  • Capturing, specifying and documenting business requirements for implementation in the collateral/clearing projects
  • Work with different IT teams across infrastructure, and other divisions to deliver system solutions for the business.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on their priorities, needs as well as system improvements.
  • Build a strong relationship and manage expectations with users and stake holders.
  • Coordinate and support the testing activities, validate the test cases and reolve the issues during UATs
  • Management of SIT and UAT phases
  • Plan deliverables (including any system enhancements and upgrades) to meet the development requirements within allocated budget and schedule in projects and change requests
  • Coordinate across cross-streams to manage dependencies of the deliverables
  • Plan, monitor and manage risks/issues related to delivery
  • Assisting with production implementation
  • Providing post-delivery support

A successful candidate is expected to have

Essential Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of either Clearing or Collateral business
  • Ability to perform complex business analysis and requirement gathering and system impact analysis independently
  • Good and thorough understanding of bank’s front office and back office operations, risk, finance and accounting.
  • Good knowledge of treasury products in terms of product characteristics, trade life cycle, market operations, risk management, P&L calculation.
  • Good experience with stakeholder engagement and effective communication with stakeholders
  • Good experience of implementing enhancement involving mix of waterfall and agile approaches
  • Excellent skills in functional specification documentation, design test cases
  • Some experience in any Murex module
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision

Preferred skills

  • Some knowledge in Murex functions including accounting, contract/event/settlement workflow, OSP
  • Understanding of Front to back Trade Life Cycle
  • Understanding of accounting schemas for various asset classes
  • Strong technical background
