Customer Delivery Manager

About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Customer Delivery Manager. This role is crucial in driving the success of our MI projects in the Safaricom Group, specifically in Ethiopia and Kenya. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading customer-centric initiatives, managing diverse delivery teams, and ensuring the smooth execution of projects while maintaining strong relationships with Nokia leadership and product lines.
- Lead and manage all MI projects for the Safaricom Group, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Engage with customers at the Exco and Management level, building strong relationships and understanding their needs
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of delivery professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. You will also manage project costs and revenues, ensuring financial targets are met and optimizing resource allocation.
- Interface with Nokia Leadership and Product Line teams, providing regular updates and collaborating on strategic initiatives.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination across different teams and stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with project delivery, taking proactive measures to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences, promoting our services and building a strong network.
Must Have
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a customer-facing role, with a proven track record in project management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, with a solid understanding of project lifecycle management, as well as experience in managing complex projects and delivering successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards, ensuring compliance in project execution.
Nice to have
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Willingness to travel as required for customer engagements and project-related activities.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
