About The Role

Join TOMRA as a Preventative Maintenance Trade Assistant and help our Field Service team keep our Reverse Vending Machines performing at their best.

You will travel to our Truganina warehouse each day to collect your fully equipped vehicle and hit the road to perform preventative maintenance, repairs and upgrades on our Reverse Vending Machines and equipment out in the field across Western Victoria and Tasmania. (Regular travel within VIC/TAS is part of the role, and we’ll give reasonable notice before trips.)

As part of the background process you will provide a driver history record, federal police check and attend a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening. 

Some of the duties you may perform include (But not limited to)

 

  • Strip, clean, rebuild, and service field equipment to maintain optimal performance and presentation.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and replace or restore worn or expired components.
  • Conduct equipment testing, tagging, upgrades, and commissioning activities as required.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical faults on TOMRA equipment.
  • Support Field Service Technicians with corrective maintenance and repair activities.
  • Complete detailed service reports, including faults identified, repairs completed, testing, and parts replaced.
  • Manage inventory, consumables, and spare parts, ensuring accurate stock control and replenishment.
  • Maintain accurate records using company software, ERP, and inventory management systems.
  • Participate in stocktakes and work closely with Supply Chain to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Travel as required, including extended driving and occasional after-hours callouts.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to customers, partners, and members of the public.
  • Follow all TOMRA safety standards, report hazards and incidents promptly, and comply with company policies and lawful instructions.

  • Full drivers licence
  • Experience using hand tools
  • Safety first mindset
  • Tag and test licence (Desirable)
