CL&D, a division of ProMach, has an exciting opportunity for an Estimator based in Hartland, WI. This is a hybrid role, three days in the office and two days at home.
At CL&D, the Estimator supports new customer and project opportunities from initial quoting through testing, qualification, and transition to production. In this role, you’ll coordinate the technical, operational, and commercial details needed to prepare accurate quotes, specifications, graphics templates, and test roll orders. What you’ll do
- Review requests for quotes from Sales and Account Services, identify missing or unclear information, and ensure requirements are complete before moving forward
- Prepare accurate and timely quote documentation, including specifications, assumptions, materials, labor, processing, and outside vendor costs
- Enter, maintain, and review project, quote, and customer information within CL&D’s ERP and CRM systems
- Create and manage qualification materials for new customers and projects, coordinating activities through testing, shipping, and approval
- Create, review, and update technical drawings and templates using Adobe Illustrator
- Communicate with customers and vendors to clarify information and maintain alignment on specifications and timelines
- Support cross-training and process improvement initiatives within the New Business team
- Partner with Research & Development to coordinate customer test requests and document technical requirements, timelines, and success criteria
- Translate customer and Sales requirements into test specifications and help confirm feasibility based on CL&D’s materials, processes, and capabilities
- Serve as a liaison between Sales, Research & Development, and Operations by communicating test progress, results, adjustments, and approvals
- Help transition approved test specifications into accurate, production-ready documentation
- Maintain complete test specifications, revisions, project data, and approval records within the ERP system
Who you’ll work with
You’ll collaborate with CL&D’s Sales, Account Services, Research & Development, and Operations teams. You’ll also communicate with prospective customers and outside vendors to gather information, coordinate project requirements, and support the successful qualification of new business.
What we’re looking for
- Associate degree and relevant experience related to the position; equivalent experience may be considered
- Experience working with ERP systems and maintaining accurate data records
- Exposure to manufacturing, printing, or technical quoting is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical and commercial information clearly
- Strong numerical skills and confidence working with dimensions, specifications, pricing, and cost information
- Basic algebra skills and proficiency using calculators and spreadsheets
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple detailed priorities
- Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and sound judgment
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments
- Initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn CL&D’s printing processes, systems, and tools
- Flexibility and willingness to cross-train across New Business team responsibilities
- Basic to intermediate Adobe Illustrator skills, or the ability to develop proficiency in creating and updating technical templates
