We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician responsible for ensuring the daily functionality, safety, and reliability of facility equipment and designated work areas. This role supports preventive maintenance, equipment installation, repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain optimal operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure daily functionality and upkeep of assigned facility areas.
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical equipment.
- Identify equipment irregularities, perform repairs, and replace defective parts.
- Verify proper operation of safety devices after all repairs or installations.
- Support and facilitate the preventive maintenance (PM) program.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation.
- Conduct routine cleaning, lubrication, and equipment care.
- Follow all workplace safety standards and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
- Participate in required training programs.
- Meet KPIs, including zero lost‑time incidents, budget adherence, customer satisfaction, 5S compliance, and maintenance cost‑effectiveness.
- Complete improvement opportunities identified by team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma required.
- College/University education or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; millwright experience is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license required; forklift license preferred.
- Knowledge of equipment safety standards; basic understanding of pneumatics is an asset.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to a diverse environment.
- Professional, tactful, and diplomatic interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate computer skills required.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and post‑offer testing.
This is a temporary to full-time position starting at $33.65 per hour.
