With minimal supervision, purchase items, materials or services of a technical nature customized to company specification and delivery requirements. Expedite work, vendors, and may locate/promote new vendor sources.

[Job Description]

• Purchase and expedite for timely delivery of material parts and services as required.
• Vendor selection may include visiting vendor facilities.
• Confer with other departments as needed for technical assistance in resolving purchasing issues.
• Evaluate invoice charges as required.
• Coordinate purchasing related activities involving routing, shipping and receiving of parts and materials.
• Maintain appropriate records including encumbrance and company owned tooling stored or used by vendors.

[Qualifications]

Knowledge and Skills Desired

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or equivalent education is required.
• Proficient/Advanced skills with MS Excel and ERP (SAP)
• 1+ years’ experience as a buyer for a manufacturing company.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
• Understanding SOX requirements and internal controls
• Strong attention to detail
• Consistently able to meet reporting deadlines
• Ability to problem solve and work independently
• Strict work ethic
• Strong leadership skills
• Language skill is most preferred, communicating with customers
• Must be authorized to start working in U.S.
