About The Role

A member of Embedded Systems Engineering team helps design, code, and test the software and hardware that make smart electronic devices work. An embedded system is a small computer hidden inside a larger machine—like a microwave, a car, or a fitness tracker—to control a specific job. Your work would involve to understand the system and develop software/firmware for it.

NILightpath

You will be part of the Software/Firmware development team and responsible for below items under supervision
=> Understand the Optical devices, elements and software used in Optical Networks - with focus on Pluggable devices
=> Learn and apply telecom standards, protocols, and customer use cases during product design and development.
=> Understand and write code using languages like C and C++ to tell hardware chips what to do.
=> Work within clearly defined guidelines, standard operating procedures and / or technical methods with regular supervision.
=> Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and validation frameworks using scripting languages such as Python.
=> Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering
=>Experience of 2+ years in C++ embedded systems
=> Strong understanding of communication systems, optical networking, embedded systems, or networking fundamentals.
=> Basic knowledge of Ethernet technologies and telecom networking concepts.
=> Ability to develop, debug and ship code with programming languages such as Python, C, or C++.
=> Exposure to Linux operating systems and version control tools such as Git is desirable.
=> Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
=> Good communication skills, team player with the ability to collaborate in a global environment.
=> Self-motivated, eager to learn, and committed to delivering high-quality results.
