A little about this position
- The Communications Coordinator provides assistance to the Communications Director and Content Team in creating, implementing and supporting all Communications programming, including snow reporting, social media, photoshoots, media relations, email campaigns, website content, to communicate Mammoth Mountain Ski Area activities and operations internally and externally.
- Prime responsibilities include social media coordination, daily snow and operational messaging, PR, content capture and editing, community engagement, media hosting coordination, and activation support.
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent experience in communications or journalism.
- Proficient knowledge of online programming, social media and content capture.
- Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
- Strong writing skills mandatory.
- Understanding and experience with social media management and content creation within channels.
- Knowledge of ski area operations and the resort industry. Advanced skiing or snowboarding abilities and comprehensive knowledge of Mammoth Mountain’s terrain.
- Comfortable in front of the camera and willingness to wear partner brands outerwear and accessories.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including very early mornings (5:30AM daily start time) and some weekends/holidays.
- Hourly pay rate: $22.77 to $24.58
