Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Supervisor implements staffing strategies and processes to attract qualified candidates using successful recruiting channels. This position monitors large scale and complex staffing concerns and provides oversight on issues with potential risks and unfavorable trends. This position implements initiatives and provides consultative expertise and tactical support to all stakeholders including, business units, business partners, hiring managers, etc. This position collaborates with managers to develop strategies for current and future business needs utilizing research and data analysis. This position supervises others.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages and ensures compliance with all aspects of hiring
- Develops and maintains Workforce Development pipeline programs to assist with recruiting and retention of employees
- Oversees internal and external recruiting efforts for all positions within scope
- Evaluates strategy adjustments as needed for critical positions and works with the Center of Excellence on solutions
- Develops sponsorships and partnerships with strategic vendors and schools
- Performs market analysis and research to develop business justifications for compensation adjustments to ensure we stay competitive with the market
- Manages daily dispatch of recruiters
- Maintains strategic partnerships with education partners to assist with recruiting and hiring strategies
- Provides issue escalation and supports resolution
- Supports external business partners (BPO)
- Provides advising on processes, procedures, and systems
- Works with team to develop and recommend creative hiring strategies and builds business cases for action
- Performs employee supervisory tasks such as performance management and career development
- Leads requisition recalibrations and escalations to ensure proper alignment for successful staffing efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree (or international equivalent) or three years of UPS experience
- Must be located in the same geographic area as the job or be willing to self-relocate
- Must be willing and available to work flexible shifts as necessary (days, nights, weekends)
- Must be willing and available to travel as necessary
- Thrives in a team environment
- Demonstrates leadership abilities
Preferred
- Prior experience utilizing Workday
- Prior experience using Fountain
- Prior Talent Acquisition experience
- Digital talent acquisition proficiency

Additional Requirements
- Internal candidates must upload their last two performance reviews along with their resumes
- Interviewees will be required to interview in person at the UPS Flight Training Center located at 802 Grade Lane Louisville, KY 40213
- Interviewees will be required to deliver a five-minute presentation on one of the following items: an innovative way to recruit and engage with applicants via digital platforms, an innovative way to connect with customers/applicants, a unique approach they've used to develop their employee(s). Presentations should include the justification to support their case or the results achieved by completing the above (a laptop will be available for use if needed)
