7-Eleven Distribution Canada Corp. is looking for a Maintenance Tech to join our Calgary team.

The Maintenance Technician supports the daily maintenance, repair, and facility upkeep activities required to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive warehouse environment. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, assisting with facility repairs, conducting equipment checks, and supporting building improvement projects.

The successful candidate will help identify and resolve maintenance concerns, support workplace safety initiatives, document completed work and communicate effectively with warehouse leadership and team members. This position is ideal for an individual who is hands-on, safety-focused, and committed to maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with general facility repairs and maintenance projects to support safe and efficient warehouse operations.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and minor repairs throughout the facility.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations while completing maintenance work.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and communicate updates on progress and resolution.
Document maintenance activities, repairs completed, and identified issues.
Review daily communications and take appropriate action on assigned tasks.
Identify and escalate maintenance issues that require additional resources, approvals, or specialized support.
Support larger facility projects as directed by management.
Monitor equipment and building conditions and report irregularities or potential concerns.
Communicate with warehouse leaders and other departments to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Assist with tracking maintenance-related expenses and obtain approval for significant purchases when required.
Contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience

Previous maintenance, facilities, warehouse, construction, or related experience preferred.
Experience performing basic repairs, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is considered an asset.

Certifications

Ability to obtain company-required internal maintenance and safety certifications.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Basic knowledge of general building and facility maintenance.
Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
Understanding of workplace safety practices and safe work procedures.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documenting maintenance activities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Basic computer skills, including email and maintenance record updates.
Ability to collaborate effectively with managers, employees, and other departments.

Wage: Starting at $20.00/hr based on experience
