About The Role
📍 Paris La Défense | Hybrid (3 days/week)
Shape the future of AML Compliance at Western Union
Western Union is seeking an AML Compliance Officer to help protect our customers, our network and the financial system from money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud.
As a member of the France Compliance Team, you will lead complex investigations, perform risk assessments and contribute to strategic compliance initiatives impacting both France and the wider EMEA region.
What you'll do
- Conduct and manage complex AML/CFT investigations involving high-risk customers, transactions, or agents.
- Perform in-depth risk assessments and provide documented recommendations to support decision-making.
- Review complex STR cases and contribute to the quality and completeness of regulatory reporting prior to submission.
- Perform compliance oversight activities across Western Union's agent network, including risk assessments, transaction analysis and control reviews, and other high-risk cases.
- Participate in compliance committees and support regulatory reporting activities.
- Monitor AML/CFT regulatory developments, emerging financial crime typologies, and industry trends relevant to the business.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen existing controls, procedures, and monitoring activities and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Provide AML/CFT guidance and support to internal stakeholders when required.
What we're looking for
- 3-5+ years of AML Compliance or Financial Crime experience
- Strong knowledge of AML/CFT regulations
- Experience in handling complex investigations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent French and English
