Position Summary

This position will be responsible for providing case aide assistance and support to Child Welfare Case Managers and leaders, clients and caregivers, and the operations of the Child Welfare Program. This position will require a general understanding of child welfare work and the population served.

Position Requirements

  • High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) required. Associate degree in Human Services preferred.
  • Experience working with families of diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with CSSW staff, vendors and the community; and solid customer service skills required.
  • Ability to work within deadlines on a consistent basis; and maintain accurate, current case record documentation.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the agency, partner agencies, others social service agencies, courts, schools, public officials, professionals and the community.
  • Ability to provide supervision to child (ren) between the ages of newborn and 17 years old.
  • Maintain a working knowledge in the use of eWiSACWIS and any other computer programs currently used by child welfare staff.
  • Valid driver's license for State of Wisconsin required.
  • Two plus years' experience in providing support services preferred.
