The Position

As a Record to Report PEC SME, you will play a central role in guiding end-to-end month-end closing, financial reporting, and continuous improvement across our shared services environment. Operating within a collaborative regional hub, you will ensure high standards of financial control, coach operational team members, and drive process optimization that supports our broader mission in global healthcare.

In this impactful role, you will

  • Drive Financial & Close Accuracy: Monitor month-end, quarter-end, and year-end progress against close schedules, ensuring accurate journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting deliverables.
  • Manage Operational Issues & Risks: Act as the first point of escalation for complex accounting inquiries, guiding root-cause investigations and coordinating with cross-functional partners in Finance, Business, and IT.
  • Oversee Financial Controls: Champion compliance with internal financial reporting controls, group policies, and statutory requirements, ensuring process documentation and audit trails remain current.
  • Advance Transformation & CI: Identify recurring operational pain points and lead continuous improvement, automation, and standardization projects to increase efficiency and data quality.
  • Coach & Support Team Capability: Provide daily coaching and technical guidance to financial analysts, reviewing work quality, facilitating cross-training, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
  • Facilitate Audit & Governance: Coordinate internal and external audit requirements, ensuring timely submission of schedules, evidence, and clear responses to queries.

Who You Are

You are an analytical, solution-oriented finance professional with strong communication skills and an inspiring leadership approach. You excel at coaching peers, navigating complex accounting processes, and managing priorities in a dynamic, high-performing environment.

Your Qualifications

  • Educational Background: You hold a University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an advantage.
  • Professional Experience: You bring a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial accounting, general ledger operations, or financial reporting. Experience within a Shared Services Center (SSC) or Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) environment is highly desirable.
  • Technical Savvy: You possess strong working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (such as SAP) alongside advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software and digital productivity tools.
  • Process Leadership: You demonstrate experience or strong capability in project management, operational issue resolution, or supervising financial close cycles.
  • Communication & Collaboration: You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with a collaborative spirit and a customer-service mindset.
