About The Role

The Company

HallPass Candy is building the next generation of candy. Our goal is simple: create the candy people already love, with a fraction of the calories, at the same price. HallPass recently launched nationwide at Walmart.

HallPass is part of the Medici Brands portfolio, alongside brands like David. This is a rare opportunity to join a breakout food brand at a pivotal stage of growth. Led by CEO Peter Rahal, Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR, and President Michael Tierney, Founder and Former CEO of Stuffed Puffs, HallPass brings together deep experience building and scaling category-defining consumer brands.

HallPass is working to reimagine one of the largest and most iconic categories in food, proving that better nutrition doesn't have to come at the expense of taste or price. With national distribution and ambitious plans to expand our product portfolio and retail presence, HallPass is working to become a leading candy brand in the U.S. and beyond.

The Role

HallPass is hiring multiple Account Managers to help build and scale our sales organization across Grocery, Convenience, and Foodservice. Each Account Manager will own one of these key channels and be responsible for expanding distribution, developing customer relationships, and driving sales.

This is an entrepreneurial, hands-on sales role with the opportunity to help build a channel from the ground up. You will identify and pursue new accounts, develop relationships with buyers and distributors, and own opportunities from the first conversation through launch and ongoing account growth.

We're looking for people who are hungry to sell, persistent in opening doors, and excited to help build an emerging brand. You should be equally comfortable developing a strategy for a major account and picking up the phone to create the next opportunity.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Own and grow HallPass's business within your assigned channel: Grocery, Convenience, or Foodservice.
  • Identify, prospect, pitch, and close new accounts to expand HallPass distribution.
  • Build strong relationships with buyers, distributors, brokers, and other key partners within your channel.
  • Own the customer relationship from initial outreach and sell-in through launch and ongoing account management.
  • Develop account strategies to drive distribution, velocity, and sales growth.
  • Prepare for and lead buyer meetings, presentations, line reviews, and negotiations.
  • Partner with customers on assortment, merchandising, promotions, and programs that drive trial and repeat purchase.
  • Monitor account performance and use sales data to identify opportunities and address issues.
  • Own forecasting for your accounts and communicate expected demand, opportunities, and risks internally.
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance to successfully launch and support accounts.
  • Represent HallPass at trade shows, distributor meetings, customer events, and other industry events.
  • Stay close to your channel and identify emerging customers, competitive activity, and new opportunities for HallPass.
  • Help develop the sales processes, tools, and playbooks that will support HallPass as we scale.

Requirements

  • Experience in CPG sales, account management, business development, or a related commercial role.
  • Experience and relationships within Grocery, Convenience, or Foodservice.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial judgment and an understanding of the drivers behind successful CPG accounts.
  • Comfortable using sales and account data to understand performance and make decisions.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where processes are still being built.
  • Collaborative, self-driven, competitive, and excited to build something from the ground up.

Benefits

  • This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York City. We work onsite five days a week- when the culture fits, it is fun to be in the office together.
  • Salary: $150,000-$180,000 per year, inclusive of bonus.
  • Company equity options.
  • 100% covered Health, Vision, Dental Insurance.
  • 401(k) with 4% match.
