Job Description

The Asia Construction Projects within Procurement Department supports the capital and projects required by the Worldwide Facilities (WWF) organization. This role will be responsible for sourcing and managing suppliers providing Design and Construction services for TI’s growth of its businesses and manufacturing operations. The role is intended to be based in and support of Malaysia projects, but will be expected to change over time for support of international expansion construction projects within the region which may require international travel as projects and environment require.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with Worldwide Facilities (WWF) project teams to develop and execute the sourcing and category management strategy for Design & Construction Services of TI projects.
  • Work with Facilities Procurement and Site Purchasing team members to complete negotiations, scope buyouts, and change notice executions with Projects service providers (General Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Consultants and Others); reducing overall cost.
  • Collaborate with Legal team members to ensure contractual protections for large construction projects.
  • Act as a Construction Procurement SME and support Facilities Projects procurement activities, compliance, and supplier strategies.
  • Identify and develop suppliers/subcontractors for TI expansion projects available within respective countries/regions.
  • Implement and manage contracts with international & local team members.
  • Manage supplier cost and reliability through innovation and supplier collaboration.
  • Supporting internal and external audits related to procurement process and supplier management.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum (with a preference for Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering). This roles is for Early Career experienced professionals with 3 to 5 years’ experience
  • Strong project management skills, supplier management skills, analytical skills, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work across organizations, solve complex problems, drive results and improvement, and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to lead project activities and effectively communicate to all levels of management with appropriate urgency
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking capability
  • Contract management skills; particularly service agreements
  • Highest ethical standards
