Executive Manager (Compliance & Ops Branch)

About The Role
[What the role is]
We are looking for highly motivated and dynamic individuals to join the Choa Chu Kang Operations Department. You will be supporting the Senior Assistant Director to manage the cleaning, facilities management, the arborist and landscaping contracts at Choa Chu Kang Cemetery.
[What you will be working on]
You will be responsible for the following
- Manage appointed contractors and other parties involved in facilities management to achieve optimal maintenance standard
- Oversee the maintenance of equipment and machineries within the facilities to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Coordinate with the respective contractors and manage contracts, to ensure work is followed up promptly and in compliance with contract requirements
- Track work progression and ensure reports are submitted as scheduled
- Work with the relevant agencies and stakeholders works for related works
- Monitor and track timely approval of requirement, issuance of Purchase Orders (POs) and manage payment to contractor/ vendors
- Conduct regular Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) meetings and toolbox.
- Attend to, investigate, and resolve feedback from members of public and stakeholders
- Manage/ plan/ participate in operations for special annual festivals such as Qing Ming and Lunar 7th Month
- Review and monitor current processes to enhance productivity and service standards
- Handle and manage feedback/appeals from members of public
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
[What we are looking for]
The ideal candidate would possess the following qualities
- At least 5 years of working experience in facilities management, environmental public health, or other fields with operations or service management in a leadership position
- Experience in contract management and leading a team
- Able to lead, interact and foster teamwork
- Able to handle adverse situations and difficult customers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Good problem-solving, writing & communication skills
- Pay attention to the fine details, organised and able to multi-task
- Mature, independent, responsible and resourceful
- Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement
- Willing to work in after-death care services environment
- Able and willing to work on weekends and public holidays
