About the Role

We’re looking for Manager, Clinical Site and Participant Experience (CSPE) on the Clinical Program Optimization & Innovation team to help us expand what’s possible for patients with serious diseases. Reporting to the Sr Director, Clinical Program Optimization & Innovation, you’ll focus on improving the clinical trial experience for both sites and participants, build strong, trusted relationships with clinical trial sites through proactive engagement, “white glove” support, issue resolution, and clear communication to reduce site burden and help accelerate enrollment. The CSPE Manager also partners with Clinical Study Teams to incorporate participant and caregiver feedback into study planning and identify ways to reduce participant burden. This role works cross-functionally across Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, and external partners, primarily supporting North American sites while requiring knowledge of European operations and exposure to other global regions.

What You'll Do

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to establish and maintain strong relationships with clinical trial sites to maximize their performance and engagement during conduct of clinical trials. You’ll also:

  • Engage, evaluate, and develop a network of high-performing sites through coordinated, consistent interactions using multiple communication channels to create awareness of activities thereby streamlining their ability to partner with Insmed.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for clinical trial sites for issue resolution and provide white glove service.
  • Provide site related feedback to Clinical Trial Operations during the selection and qualification of new clinical trial sites.
  • Support site coordinator protocol advisory board including discussion guide development and outcome summaries for Insmed Clinical Study Teams (CST)
  • Attend key scientific congresses and conferences as needed to manage site-related interactions and sessions to enhance knowledge in therapeutic areas.
  • Partner with Compliance to identify and develop compliant ways of engaging trial participants (before, during, and after participation)
  • Work with the clinical trial sites to proactively address participant needs during study planning and start-up and throughout conduct of the clinical trial
  • Bring forward to the CST additional areas of opportunity to support participants during conduct of the clinical trial.
  • Ensure the CST takes participant burden into account during creation of clinical trial protocols, specifically during creation of the Schedule of Assessments.
  • Use objective measures to assess our clinical trials and identify opportunities for improvement (e.g., patient-burden index, engagement and satisfaction goals)

Who You Are

You have a Bachelor’s degree along with 6 years of progressive experience in Clinical Operations or Development Operations with a Sponsor/CRO company along with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Clinical Trial Site Engagement Lead. You are or you also have:

  • Understanding of end-to-end clinical trial processes
  • Knowledge of clinical trial regulations and guidelines (e.g., GCP, FDA, EMA)
  • Demonstrated knowledge in innovative clinical trial site and participant-centric solutions
  • Strong execution capabilities and problem-solving abilities as well as sound judgment and decision-making capabilities
  • Clinical trial site relationship building experience including skills influencing and negotiating
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global environment to achieve quality and timeline metrics.
  • Proven flexibility and agility working within a multi-functional, global matrix.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills and highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness
  • Must possess critical thinking skills for problem solving, conflict resolution, collaboration
  • Must demonstrate the ability to interact successfully in a dynamic and culturally diverse workplace

Where You’ll Work

This is a fully remote role. It can be performed effectively from anywhere while staying connected to your Insmed team and community. Occasional travel for team meetings or events will be expected.

Pay Range

$133,000.00-173,000.00 Annual
