Job Responsibilities

The Men’s Basketball Office is seeking a Federal Work-Study student to assist with game-day and team operations. Duties include filming games, setting up the gym, washing jerseys, operating the game clock, assisting with equipment, and performing other assigned team-related duties.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled for Fall Semester 2026 in at least six (6) credit hours.
• Must be approved for Federal Student Aid for the 2026–2027 award year .
• Must be eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program .
• Must be making satisfactory academic progress.
• Must successfully complete a criminal background check and/or other required screening, if applicable.
• Must complete all required State of Georgia and South Georgia Technical College employment paperwork before beginning work.
• Students may not begin working until all required hiring paperwork has been completed and approved.
• Must be available to work nights and weekends and travel with the team to away games as required.

Background Requirements

Candidates must pass a criminal background check before employment.

Compensation

$10.00 per hour

Hours

• The student may work up to 20 hours per week , based on Federal Work-Study eligibility, and may not exceed 225 hours per semester .
• Work hours may include nights, weekends, holidays, and travel. The selected student must be available to travel with the team to ALL away games as required.
