About the Role
As a Product Owner I , you will play a key role in driving product development and delivery within the Specialty portfolio. You will be responsible for managing and prioritizing the team backlog, ensuring delivery teams focus on the highest-value work, and translating business needs into actionable features and user stories. Working closely with Product Managers, business stakeholders, architects, and Agile teams, you will help deliver business, compliance, growth, and technology initiatives while serving as a critical link between stakeholders and development teams.
What You'll Do
- Own and prioritize the team backlog based on business value and strategic priorities.
- Translate business requirements and portfolio objectives into features, stories, and deliverables for Agile teams.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, business stakeholders, architects, and developers to refine requirements and clarify scope.
- Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, end users, and delivery teams to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
- Manage dependencies, remove delivery impediments, and support the execution of initiatives across the Specialty portfolio.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, PI Planning, ART Syncs, system demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
- Evaluate product progress, oversee development stages, and ensure stories meet acceptance criteria.
- Partner with business owners and stakeholders to understand needs, manage scope, and continuously improve product quality and delivery.
- Coordinate iteration goals, support story estimation and sequencing, and drive successful execution of Agile initiatives.
- Ensure solutions meet customer and business expectations by continuously advocating for end-user needs.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in Agile product delivery, project management, business analysis, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, Project Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- Experience with Agile/SAFe frameworks, backlog management, requirements refinement, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency with Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Rally, or Azure DevOps, as well as Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technology teams.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience in insurance or financial services preferred.
- Fluent English required.
- SAFe Product Owner certification required within 180 days of hire.
