Mission: As an Engineering Intern at Metalsa, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside Controls and Reliability Engineers. This role provides exposure to real-world projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll assist in improving processes, supporting various engineering functions, and contributing to special initiatives that drive productivity and innovation.
Position Title : Engineering Intern
Key Responsibilities
- Support systems and process controls by managing documentation of projects and standard work instructions.
- Assist Controls engineers on projects & improvements
- Assist the Process Engineering Team with productivity improvements and special projects to enhance operations.
- Support the team with tasks like quoting, implementing, purchasing and launching processes, while providing shop floor assistance.
- Collaborate with different departments to ensure smooth project execution.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed, with duties evolving as the department's needs change.
Academic requirement
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, with a focus on Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field. – bachelors in engineering (mechatronics / Electronic)
- Open to students in their Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior year.

Pay Rates (Current)
- $20.60/hr. – Freshman (1–30 credit hours)
- $21.63/hr. – Sophomore (31–60 credit hours)
- $22.66/hr. – Junior (61–89 credit hours)
- $23.69/hr. – Senior (90+ credit hours)
