Your day at NTT DATA

The Senior Associate Networking Technical Services (TS) Systems Integration Specialist is a developing subject matter expert, responsible for ensuring that client solution requirements are resolved in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

This role performs configurations, actions installations and attends to break/fix events.

This role works towards associate to professional level certification, whilst at the same time developing business knowledge.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage end-to-end fibre and wireless installation projects from order handover to service activation.
  • Conduct site surveys and assess technical requirements, installation feasibility, and potential risks.
  • Liaise with customers, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Schedule and oversee installation activities, ensuring adherence to agreed timelines and service level commitments.
  • Monitor vendor performance and escalate delays, quality issues, or implementation risks where necessary.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety (H&S) requirements, permits, and compliance documentation are in place before installation commencement.
  • Track wayleave approvals, site access permissions, and third-party dependencies impacting project delivery.
  • Perform quality assurance checks and validate installations against technical specifications and customer requirements.
  • Manage project documentation, progress updates, implementation reports, and handover records.
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges and coordinate resolution with technical support teams and vendors.
  • Conduct customer acceptance testing (CAT) and facilitate successful service commissioning and activation.
  • Provide regular status updates, issue logs, and escalation reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance installation efficiency, customer experience, and vendor performance.
  • Knowledge and Attributes:

  • Ability to develop an understanding of fundamental project and administration processes.

Academic Qualification and Certifications

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). advantageous.
  • CompTIA Network+. advantageous.
  • Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) / SHEQ certification. advantageous.
  • Project Management certification (CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation, or equivalent) advantageous.

Required experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in telecommunications, with a focus on fibre and wireless service delivery and installations.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end fibre, microwave, and wireless implementation projects .
  • Experience coordinating and managing third-party vendors, contractors, and field technicians .
  • Strong understanding of fibre infrastructure deployment , including site surveys, civil works, trenching, fibre splicing, testing, and service activation.
  • Experience with wireless network installations , including point-to-point (PTP) and point-to-multipoint (PTMP) solutions.
