Job Description – SEO Manager
Experience: 5–7 Years
Location: Mumbai
Work Mode: Hybrid
Role Overview
We are looking for a results-driven SEO Manager to lead our organic search and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO/AEO) initiatives. The ideal candidate will drive organic growth through technical SEO, content strategy, AI search optimization, and data-driven decision-making. This role requires close collaboration with content, product marketing, engineering, design, and analytics teams to improve search visibility, website performance, and lead generation.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy
- Develop and execute enterprise SEO strategies aligned with business goals.
- Perform keyword research, search intent analysis, competitor benchmarking, and content gap analysis.
- Build keyword clusters, topic clusters, and content roadmaps to increase organic traffic and conversions.
- Monitor search algorithm updates and identify opportunities for continuous optimization.
GEO / AEO
- Optimize content for AI-powered search experiences, including AI Overviews and answer engines.
- Improve brand visibility, citations, and share of voice across AI search platforms.
- Develop GEO content guidelines focused on semantic relevance, structured content, FAQs, and answer-first writing.
Content Optimization
- Create SEO content briefs and optimize blogs, solution pages, product pages, and landing pages.
- Recommend improvements for metadata, internal linking, content hierarchy, and on-page SEO.
- Conduct content audits to refresh, consolidate, or expand existing content while preventing keyword cannibalization.
Technical SEO
- Perform technical SEO audits and resolve issues related to crawlability, indexability, redirects, canonicals, structured data, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, duplicate content, and Core Web Vitals.
- Partner with engineering teams to implement and validate technical SEO recommendations.
- Support website migrations, URL restructures, and SEO QA during releases.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track SEO performance using Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools.
- Build dashboards and present insights on traffic, rankings, CTR, conversions, AI visibility, and technical health.
- Measure the impact of SEO initiatives and recommend data-driven improvements.
Collaboration
- Work closely with content, design, engineering, and product marketing teams to integrate SEO best practices.
- Develop SEO documentation, guidelines, and training materials.
- Manage multiple SEO initiatives while prioritizing based on business impact.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in SEO for B2B, SaaS, or enterprise websites.
- Strong knowledge of technical SEO, on-page optimization, keyword research, and content strategy.
- Experience analyzing SEO performance and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with AI search optimization, entity SEO, and semantic search.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Google Analytics or SEO certifications are preferred.
